Item Description

The famous Tsumeb Mine is one of the most prolific localities in the world, producing hundreds of mineral species ranging from common to ultra-rare, but it's all of the little single discoveries in the mine that made it so special. The incredibly mixed chemistry found throughout Tsumeb produced so many unique and eye-catching mineral specimens, including these beautiful Cerussites which are included with micro Chalcotrichite (the acicular variety of Cuprite). This piece is a good quality thumbnail featuring sharp, well-formed crystals with that glowing reddish-orange hue. Very few of these were found, and they are arguably the rarest style of Cerussite from Tsumeb.
