Item Description
This specimen features classic, broad, cyclically-twinned cerussite crystals elegantly intertwined with a cream-colored dolomite cast, accompanied by well-formed duftite. They are tiny, but sharp! Dolomite casts from Tsumeb are typically flat, making this pocket-shaped formation particularly uncommon and special. The formation process involved a dolomite coating on primary minerals like calcite, which then dissolved, leaving the dolomite behind. Cerussite and duftite formed afterward, creating a unique and visually striking combination. This is a very special and beautiful specimen from this renowned locality, with all three minerals exceptionally well-developed. Ex Jingnan (Tom) Zhang.
