Cerussite - gem crystal

Glassy and gemmy, this exceptional Cerussite "wing" shape is completely transparent with a pale smoky hue and has the classic amazing adamantine (diamond-like) luster! It's just over two and half inches in length and one and a quarter inches across! It is gorgeous, lustrous, and gemmy with only a few tiny nicks in obscure places, otherwise pristine! There are elongate and geometric growth hillocks on most faces, even at the bottom of the specimen that make the piece scintillate. There is one small area of contact on the back of the piece where it was attached to the pocket, otherwise it shows crystal faces everywhere! The one prism face on the left side is completely glassy and without any growth features so you can see right into this gemmy crystal! This is an important and visually pleasing specimen from the Pohl collections that is impressive on display! It is literally like glass, but very very heavy.
