Item Description

Some of the finest examples of Cerussite ever found are the beautiful crystals from the prolific Tsumeb Mine in Namibia. These specimens feature incredibly well-formed and visually stunning crystals, which are beloved for their fantastic size, quality and gemminess. There are few places in the world that can compete with Tsumeb Cerussites both in quantity and quality. This piece features excellent, very sharp, lustrous, gemmy, slightly smoky-golden colored, classic reticulated twins and single crystals of Cerussite measuring up to 2.2 cm, aesthetically sitting on matrix. The piece is in good condition, but there is a small "fish eye" on top of the main crystal, so it's not completely undamaged. Still a showy old time specimen from the world's most famous locality dating back at least 50 years. Valued $1,600. From the collection of Brian Kosnar.
