Item Description

Jackstraw cerussite is a classic species from this extinct (closed in 1982) large open pit lead, zinc and copper mine in Ireland. All sides of this showy, hefty ore specimen host bundles of pearlescent and oxidized crystals to 2.6 cm. Attached matrix on one side adds character and contrast. Classic and excellent cerussite from this locale. Ex E. Treseder Collection and acquired in 1974.
