Item Description
The Bunker Hill mine is a famous lead-zinc-silver mine that produced some of the finest Pyromorphite specimens from the Western Hemisphere. The mine operated for a century (closing forever in 1988), and fine quality specimens are difficult to obtain on the market, especially 30 years after it came out of the ground. This piece is a rarely seen Cerussite specimen featuring sharp, lustrous, white colored "snowflake"-shaped crystals of Cerussite on a thin layer of oxidized matrix. Classic material from Idaho, you don't see it around anymore. From the collection of noted carbonate collector, Jim Robison.
