Cerussite / Anglesite pseudomorph after Galena (rare locality specimen) (ex Dr. Wouter van Tichelen Collection)

San Eulalia is not known for its pseudomorph specimens, especially featuring base metals / sulfides. This piece is a showy, fine quality, aesthetic display specimen that is filled with robust, blocky, slightly skeletal crystals of Galena measuring up to 2.9 at its longest dimension which are partially altering / pseudomorphing to Cerussite and Anglesite. It's a great snapshot in time where the Galena is still present, and is just in the early stages of transformation. The underside of the specimen features brilliant, metallic silvery-grey colored unaltered Galena for a nice touch. If you collect minerals of Mexico, secondary ore minerals, or pseudomorphs from uncommon localities, this is a great piece to add to your collection. I put a value on this one around $700-$900.
