Item Description
Attractive and delicate, these fine combination pieces were found in very limited numbers at the famous Daoping Mine in China during the early 2000s. The lustrous, hexagonal, and translucent to gemmy Pyromorphites cover the gossan matrix and on top of them are beautiful and delicate, clear to white, Cerussites. Some are sharp, gemmy tabular crystals, while the main Cerussite twin interlaces to form a classic, reticulated, snowflake lattice. This 'boxwork' pattern is instantly recognizable to collectors, and highly coveted. There are not many of these combinations, in any form, and the quality of both the Pyromorphites and the Cerussites really elevates this miniature.
