Item Description
Almost two dozen V-twins of Cerussite decorate this matrix specimen from Tiger, Arizona. The lustrous, creamy colored Cerussite tins average 1 cm and one V-twin measures 1.4 cm in maximum dimension. All of the twins are fairly well isolated on the brownish, contrasting, porous, gossan matrix. The piece has good aesthetics and presents itself well for display. The Mammoth-Saint Anthony Mine is probably one of the best U.S. localities for the species and they come up for sale so rarely that many are simply unaware that there is a U.S. locality that produced such good cerussites (in the 1970s and earlier, generally).
