Galena forms the matrix for a cluster of large, cyclically twinned, gemmy to translucent, white to colorless Cerussite crystals that display an adamantine luster. The Cerussite cluster is 3.3 cm across and when the crystals are viewed head on, it resembles a lovely and geometrically pleasing, thick snowflake and the intricacies of the cyclic twinning become more obvious. There are least two other sets of twins on the piece with another large twin adjacent to the main set and another smaller twin on the side. Twinning is also evident on the backside of the piece! Cerussites on matrix are not common and this is a very good on for this style. It is excellent condition and displays nicely showing off the main twin front and center! A fine display miniature with great luster and sparkle!
