THIS SHARP, ELEGANT, ADAMANTINE AND LUSTROUS crystal is a classic style form the famous lead mine in Morocco, which also produced yellow anglesites. Pieces like this date to the 1960s-1970s and are now scarce in good quality. The amber color and glassy luster of this piece make it stand out, and it mounts impressively as a vertical crystal. However, although it looks like a single crystal, it is actually a twin, or rather half of a twinned crystal: the short stub at the base is a truncated twin that somehow never grew out from the larger one, never elongated, and just acts as a small association at the base. Technically, however, you can see the twin had started and so we suppose that makes the tall vertical a twin (with an invisible twin?). In any case, it is gorgeous, gemmy, and complete all around!
