Celestine with Sulfur

A beautiful and showy cluster comprising many fine, sharp, lustrous, translucent white prismatic crystals of Celestine measuring up to 1.8 cm, accented by a little bit of stark yellow Sulfur from the famous Floristella Mine in Sicily. The piece is in great condition, with no major damage I can find, outside of the peripheral roughness where it was removed from the pocket wall. The piece sits quite nicely on its own and display beautifully as you can see from the video. I love the individual separation between the crystals, many from this locality can be kind of "jumbled", so this one has character and great visual appeal.
From the worldwide mineral collection of Rich ("Dick") Hauck of New Jersey with an old Herb Obodda dealer label. Dick is an avid collector of minerals, books, and mining memorabilia, along with being an accomplished author in the mineral world. Arguably, his greatest claim to fame is being the co-founder of the Sterling Hill Mining Museum in Ogdensburg, NJ. Dick purchased the land on which the Sterling Hill Mine resides in 1988, and the museum has been running strong since.
