Item Description
This is a stellar Celestine with an attractive light blue color, great form, and superb luster. It is a cluster of crystals composed of one larger (3.7 cm across) and a few smaller ones around its edge. All of these attractive, translucent crystals are flattened orthorhombic prisms displaying fabulous luster. There is an attached, 1.8 cm long, scalenohedral Calcite crystal for added interest and aesthetics. It's contacted at the bottom and on one side in the back, otherwise excellent. Ex. Ross Lillie collection, #RLC 0848, mined July 1994. Rare miniature of this style for the District. valued $500-750
