Item Description
Classic and showy Michigan celestine from a less well-known silica quarry in the Detroit area. The sculptural small cabinet cluster is dominated by the large 5.5 cm prism with the striking offset chisel termination. The glassy, lustrous crystals are translucent to transparent and have some colorless areas dramatically accented with striking rich blue phantoms, a common occurrence. Contacting and cleaving on one side and gentle edge wear of the large crystal have minimal impact to the overall fine quality of this Michigan celestine. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection. A very good piece.
