Dramatically sculptural intergrown sprays of pristine, sharp, two-toned, celestine crystals set on the sculptural spare limestone matrix covered with smaller celestines make for a very aesthetic and rich small cabinet specimen from the well-known Bull Creek locality near Austin. The pretty steel-blue terminations above the colorless bodies of the translucent crystals with satin luster faces really add character and beauty to the piece. The large crystal is 2.7 cm on this very attractive 360-degree specimen. Texas is known as mostly a mineral wasteland, but this is an exceptionally fine example from the locale. Celestine and minerals from the mercury deposits at Terlingua are some of the few species that Texas has produced in excellent crystallized examples. From a 2020 find.
