Celestine ("Sand Celestine")

A most unusual specimen of the so-called "Sand Celestines" from Mt Ungoza, Kazakhstan. The crystals are well-formed, orthorhombic prims, but they have an interesting and unique exterior due to inclusions of lime-rich sand particles to create the soft beige hue. This piece is showy and aesthetic even for a smaller specimen, and is very worthwhile for anybody who collects unusual minerals, or just cool thumbnails from somewhat obscure localities.
