Item Description

Mineral specimens are rare from this Devonian-aged Michigan sandstone quarry. This is a super specimen of a striking cluster of very glassy celestine crystals dramatically set on matrix. The gemmy, bi-colored ice-blue to colorless, blocky crystals have sharp chisel terminations. The crystals look like a jumble of two-story houses tossed by a tornado! The impressive large crystal is 2.1 x 1.7 x 1.0 cm. This fantastic cluster is nearly pristine, with only one gently bruised "roof" edge on the right. The base has been sawed to enhance the superb display quality. Ex Robert Nowakowski Collection. Value??
