Item Description

Mineral specimens are rare from this Devonian-aged Michigan sandstone quarry. This is a super specimen of a striking cluster of very glassy celestine crystals dramatically set on matrix. The gemmy, bi-colored ice-blue to colorless, blocky crystals have sharp chisel terminations. The crystals look like a jumble of two-story houses tossed by a tornado! The impressive large crystal is 2.1 x 1.7 x 1.0 cm. This fantastic cluster is nearly pristine, with only one gently bruised "roof" edge on the right.
