Texas is well-known as a mineral wasteland, excepting the Llano Uplift, Terlingua, exotic species from salt domes and a few celestine localities. This rich and excellent celestine plate is from a very obscure locality in Brown County. Transparent to translucent, colorless to white, thin blades to 1.9 cm are festooned on the limestone matrix plate. Exceedingly rare, rich and excellent Texas celestine from the Bob Trimingham Collection. A MUST for the Texas or species collector.
