Item Description
Here we have a wonderful display quality specimen of Celestine from the lesser known Quien Tal Pensara Mine in Andalusia, Spain. The Celestines from this locality are notably acicular, and often form in "sprays", which is certainly not common for the species. This piece is quite possibly the finest example of this material that we've ever had to offer. A 4.1 cm radial "spray" of very pale blue, "needle"-like crystals of Celestine is set beautifully in the center of the underlying dark brown compressed rhombic Siderite matrix. A beautiful specimen and certainly unusual for Celestine. From the collection of Colin Manlove.
