Celestine specimens are rare from the two Matheuala localities listed by MINDAT and pieces of this blocky style are EXTREMELY RARE. The glassy, translucent, complete all-around blocky gray crystal is sharply terminated and the brick-red iron oxide inclusions and coatings add much character. Very nearly pristine, with only trivial scattered rubbing. The lower contacting on two sides has no impact to the overall quality and is out-of-sight in the preferred display sides. Exceptionally fine and rare style celestine from San Luis Potosi and comes with an older 1960s-70s label. Ex James Zigras Mexico Collection.
