Item Description
A rare, old-time, stout, sharp, tabular orthorhombic celestine crystal from this extinct 1800s celestine quarry, now beneath a shopping centre (MINDAT). The well-formed colorless crystal is transparent to translucent and has high luster. The contacts at the base, where other crystals once lay, have no damage per se and add real character to this rare and excellent old-timer. Comes with an old label, probably from the 1800s or early 1900s.
