Celestine (Nowakowski Coll.)

Item Description

An impressive, 4.5 cm, doubly terminated, tabular celestine crystal dominates this rich and excellent large plate from this well-known and extinct Ohio quarry, noted for celestine specimens. All of the crystals are glassy, transparent to translucent and have bluish-gray color. The matrix plate has been sawed to enhance the display quality. Tabular crystals of this size are uncommon from here and this is an outstanding example from the Robert Nowakowski Collection. Ghostly white fluorescence.
