Item Description

This aesthetic two-sided cluster of glassy, tabular celestine crystals with fine ice-blue color resembles classic blue barites from Frizington, England, but are celestines! This uncommonly excellent piece is essentially pristine and comes from a well-known Ontario quarry. Choice material from the Kay Robertson Collection # 1912 and probably purchased in the 1950s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
