Item Description

This well-known limestone aggregate quarry has produced world-class celestine crystals (MINDAT). This impressive large very glassy bi-colored crystal is partially terminated. The jagged, mountain range-like edge adds dramatic sculptural quality to this striking piece. The front is pristine. Most of the back is contacted, with very little damage, and embedded limestone and the bruised back of the termination are noted. These are mostly out-of-sight and have minimal impact to the overall high quality of this excellent specimen from the George Feist Collection. Specimens of this size and quality are very rare and are SELDOM on the market.
