Item Description
RARE, exceptionally fine celestine from this less well-known silica quarry in the Detroit area. This impressive sharply terminated, very glassy, translucent, tabular, parallel-growth spearpoint has fine light ice-blue color. This beauty resembles classic blue tabular barite spearpoints from the historic extinct iron mines of Cumbria, England! The attached fine-grained sandstone on the back is a super accessory and complement. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. Trivial edge wear near the termination is out-of-sight on the back of the crystal. Ex R.D. Mushlitz Collection. A superb Michigan celestine. Valued at $1000-1250 and worth it.
