You see a lot of Madagascar celestine (often called celestite) around these days, but rarely classic Maybee, Michigan material, and particularly in this fine quality matrix specimen. Two clusters of absolutely glassy-gemmy, icy blue-gray crystals, with wonderful sharp form are expertly set on the upright limestone matrix. The striking, capping cluster is beautifully accented with a second generation of tiny, sparkly, jewel-like, celestines. Complete-all-around and pristine. Older material, collected in the 1970s.
