Item Description

A striking and rich small cabinet celestine specimen from this well-known Spanish locale. A dramatic, 6.7 cm, glassy, translucent light gray prism dominates the dense jackstraw field of smaller gemmy colorless crystals. Interestingly, the crystals on the other side of the piece have a preferential clay coating, adding character. The large crystal is very nearly pristine, with only trivial bruising at the termination. There are very few broken crystals on the rich and unusually fine example from the Orellana Collection.
