Item Description
Beautiful, gemmy, very glassy rich ice-blue celestine prisms fill a sculptural curved vug from the famous Sakoany deposit of Madagascar. The dominating, free-standing large crystal with fine form is 3.0 x 2.5 x 2.0 cm. All the crystals in the interior are pristine and the noted periphery is certainly acceptable in the context of extracting these geodes. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020. See the 2010 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 41, No. 5. Sakoany celestines are certainly among the finest in the world. A showy, highly representative celestine from the locale.
