Item Description
A striking 3.7 cm celestine crystal dominates this dramatically sculptural large curved geode section filled with smaller celestines from the famous Sakoany deposit of Madagascar. All of the myriad of gemmy, very glassy, variable ice-blue prisms have classic textbook chisel terminations and all of the crystals in the interior are pristine. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020. See the 2010 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 41, No. 5. Sakoany celestines are certainly among the finest in the world. An impressive, rich and very artistic large celestine from the locale. The shape overall, is very interesting!
