Celestine and Calcite (superb)

Lustrous, translucent, pretty honey-yellow, calcite rhombs to 2.7 cm on the diagonal are dramatically set on a forest of glassy celestine blades on this superb, two-sided, combination specimen from the well-known White Rock Quarry of Ohio. The calcite rhombs grew after the celestines blades, as many of the rhombs grew around the numerous celestine blades. The highly porous, crystallized dolomite matrix really adds character to this outstanding and RARE in this quality combination piece. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!! The calcites have a MUCH richer honey-yellow color in person!
