Item Description
Gorgeous intense blue color, gemmness and luster highlights this aesthetically placed pair of very sharp celestine crystals from a recent 2023 find at this obscure Afghanistan locale. The large crystal is 3.1 cm long. The celestines rest upon a sculptural limestone matrix covered with oxide-tinted, tiny dogtooth calcite crystals. Celestine is rare from Afghanistan. The large crystal is pristine and the small crystal has just a bit of edge rubbing, which is certainly only a modest detraction. Highly representative and very showy small cabinet celestine and calcite combination from the locale. Backlighting really reveals the steel-blue color and gemminess of the crystals.
