Geodes have an attraction and magnetism all their own because they tell a story of how these form, and the fine Celestine geodes from Madagascar show that appeal clearly. The fine blue-grey crystals line the pocket and have superb luster. The largest of the crystals is about 5 cm, thought the average is more in the 3-4 cm range. Glassy and gemmy, they just draw the eye in. Naturally, there had to be some small amount of damage from simply opening the geode but this is mostly peripheral, and the main crystals are in good shape. A good example of these famous geodes.
