Impressive, stout, squat, pristine, 360-degree, compound celestine crystal from this well-known Ohio Paleozoic-era carbonate quarry. The highly lustrous, glassy, gray/blue crystal is mostly translucent and nicely accented with scattered areas of gemminess. 1198 grams or 2.6 pounds mass. Ex Robert Nowakowski Collection No. 31, a well-known Midwestern USA collector with one of the most important Michigan collections in our time by the late 1990s and early 2000s. Valued at $2000. The form of the compound crystal is remarkable and the bit of attached limestone matrix on one side adds character. Every turn presents an interesting and different visual aspect to the specimen.
