Item Description
A dramatically sculptural cave calcite from this obscure Santa Eulalia mine. Mineral specimens are RARE from here, compared to the more famous neighbors, such as the Potosi and San Antonio mines. The fantastically diverging translucent stepped-growth translucent, light tan scalenohedrons have a beautiful secondary overgrowth of white calcite "snow", which really adds pizzazz. The imposing central scalenohedron is actually curved and is 13.3 cm long. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only two small spots of bruising noted. The base has been sawed on this surreal and outstanding 360-degree cave calcite from the Tom Wolfe Calcite Collection.
