Cavansite with Stilbite on Heulandite

Item Description

A fine 1.0 cm spherical aggregate of rich blue Cavansite is associated with white blades of Stilbite on cream colored Heulandite matrix. A very showy piece of the beautiful and often under appreciated material. The best Cavansite specimens in the world come from this locality, and if it wasn't for Wagholi, very few people would even recognize Cavansite as a species. I photographed the Cavansite aggregate under the microscope and found that there are micro golden Calcite rhombs present on the piece as well.
