Cavansite with Calcite on Okenite

A fine quality radiating aggregate of rich blue Cavansite with rarely seen golden rhombohedra of Calcite on a layer of white Okenite matrix. The Cavansite "ball" mesaures 1.7 cm across, and the largest Calcite rhomb measures 8 mm across. With the exception of a few spots on the matrix, there is virtually no damage, and it is a very showy piece of this beautiful and often under appreciated material. It should be noted that to find Calcites of this size and color associated with Cavansite is rather rare from India. The best Cavansite specimens in the world come from this locality, and if it wasn't for Wagholi, very few people would even recognize Cavansite as a species. These specimens may be plentiful now, but eventually this locality will no longer produce these specimens, and they will become very difficult to find on the market, making them a valuable and worthwhile species for collectors.
