Item Description
A very rare specimen from the TYPE LOCALITY for cavansite. Most people have never seen one, much less held or owned such a piece. These significant specimens were found in the early 1960s and have not been found, so much as I know, in decades. True, this isn't as glamorous as an Indian cavansite, but there is a certain importance to a large plate like this from the US of A, and from its type locality for those who collect with a scientific bent towards preservation of such things. Outside of Charlie's little stash, I have seen only a handful in my life of mineral dealing. Valued $750-900
