Cavansite on Stilbite with Calcite (excellent)

Item Description

A gorgeous, 2.0 cm ball of highly lustrous, translucent, intergrown, bright teal-blue, cavansite blades is aesthetically set on an undulating basalt matrix covered with sparkly, stilbite microcrystals. A 6 mm, gem, amber calcite rhomb on the edge of the matrix and another smaller rhomb attached to the side of the cavansite ball are super accents. A tiny bit of matrix contacting is noted on one side of the ball, but is certainly a modest detraction to the overall impact of this very fine cavansite combination specimen. One of the better cavansites we have offered at auction in quite a while.
