Cavansite on Stilbite (excellent) Smale Coll.

Item Description

A fabulous, 2.1 cm, ball of translucent, neon-blue, cavansite blades is aesthetically set on basalt matrix covered with tiny stilbite blades. The larger, white stilbite blade on the cavansite is a super accent. The cavansite ball pristine. Stoutly bladed cavansite of this varietal is far less common, than the normally seen nubby balls. Extra fine material from the famous Wagholi Quarry, which I obtained in a large trade from the Steve Smale collection. Steve is renowned for his taste, aesthetics and lack of specimen damage. He never collected less than very high quality material. Valued at $500-700.
