Item Description
A beautiful, 1.8 cm, aesthetically placed, intergrown cluster of perpendicular, gorgeous, lustrous, neon-blue, cavansite blades from the famous Wagholi Quarry. Part of the cluster is peppered with tiny, gem, calcite rhombs as a super accent. This is an excellent miniature for its own aesthetics and for the crystallography shown: Bladed cavansite of this variety is far less-common, than the cavansite balls. The vivid color of the blades is also way above average for the locale. I have a standing order to buy any from one of my major sources there. Valued $300-500. The knobby clusters of glassy, colorless, highly lustrous blades covering the basalt matrix are stilbites or possibly [not analysed - might be clinoptilolite/heulandite]. This is really good for a miniature combination specimen.
