Cavansite and Stilbite (old style)

Classic and showy older cavansite and stilbite from 2000s finds at the famous Wagholi Quarries. Unique brilliant blue clusters of cavansite crystals, to 1.7 cm, are aesthetically scattered on the mounded basalt matrix covered with two generations of stilbite crystals. Pearlescent white stilbite blades, to 3.0 cm, from these earlier finds are a classic accessory. The basalt matrix is totally covered with spherical aggregates of an earlier generation of tiny sparkly creamy stilbite blades. The piece does have a bit of bruising, but this remains and excellent and highly representative older small cabinet example of the very colorful species and well-known locale.
