Item Description

This piece features a good quality radiating aggregate of rich blue Cavansite with additional "sheaves" of Cavansite on white Heulandite on matrix. The largest Cavansite group mesaures 1.7 cm across. Good shape overall with only one notable contact, and a nice piece of this beautiful and often under appreciated material. The best Cavansite specimens in the world come from this locality, and if it wasn't for Wagholi, very few people would even recognize Cavansite as a species. These specimens may be plentiful now, but eventually this locality will no longer produce these specimens, and they will become very difficult to find on the market, making them a valuable and worthwhile species for collectors.
