Item Description
A superb, unusually euhedral single crystal of catapleite, complete all around, except for the base. This cute windowpane thumbnail has excellent beveled edges. Most cata's are thin parallel growth jobbies but this pocket/habit is pretty much ackowledged to represent the best stereotypic crystals for the species to date (and hence, they cost more, as well). Catapleiite, along with serandite and carltonite are Holy Grail minerals from this famous deposit. Ex Irv Brown Thumbnail Collection.
