Item Description
A remarkable and rare CABINET specimen of solid, crystallized cassiterite from Malaysia. Highly lustrous, translucent, gray to brown, sharp to euhedral, crystals to about 1.7 cm comprise this 3-dimensional piece. Some crystals even have gemmy sections. Very hefty and rich tin ore at 1011 grams or over 2.2 pounds. Classic, rare and older material from the Sal Avella Collection, probably dating to the 1970s or earlier. Sal valued this piece at $425 on his own card - from many years ago.
