Splendent, sharp, jet-black cassiterite crystals to 1.3 cm and quartz points richly cover the large matrix on this showy and excellent old-timer from the famous St. Agnes District. Broken crystals are noted. Cornwall specimens of this size and richness are always in demand. Undoubtably from the 1800s heyday, as there is a portion of an old rounded label on the bottom. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and valued by Herb at $800, five or more years ago.
