Item Description

Splendent, jet-black twinned cassiterite crystals cover the granular cassiterite matrix plate on this rich and showy small cabinet from this famous Bolivian tin mine. The large crystal is 1.5 cm on this excellent 360-degree specimen. Some of the world's finest cassiterite specimens have come from here. The crystals have pretty flashes of golden to golden-red translucence under bright light. Classic and excellent material from the J. Murray Collection of Wichita Falls, Texas.
