Item Description

A classic and relatively hard to find specimen of GEMMY Cassiterite from the Rossarden District in Tasmania. The piece is a partial crystal (incomplete on the back), with a beautiful rich internal golden hue when backlit. The piece shows sharp, well-formed faces with classic cyclic twinning. Gemmy Cassiterite crystals are rare around the world, and the pieces from the Rossarden District are beloved around the world for their quality.
