Splendent sharp jet-black cassiterite twins form an impressive mounded "ball" from famous Mt Xuebaoding. The well-known locality is renowned for world-class scheelite, tabular aquamarine and cassiterite specimens and this is an outstanding example. Tiny flashes of brown translucence are noted under bright light. Complete all-around and pristine, the twins reach 3.1 cm. A bit of muscovite matrix is noted on the attachment at the base. A classic and excellent cassiterite from the Herb Obodda dealler stock. Quality like this is simply not coming out any more....the "flood" of world-class Mt Xuebaoding specimens is pretty much over.
