Item Description
An impressive, large two-sided combination plate from this famous locale and the Art Soregaroli Collection. Splendent, sharp, twinned, black cassiterite crystals are richly scattered on the undulating matrix of rosettes of pearlescent, light brown, muscovite blades. Six, gemmy, bottle-green, tabular, hexagonal, fluorapatite crystals, to 2.0 cm, are a classic and colorful accent, as is the 3.5 cm, water-clear quartz point at the top. The back of the plate has a totally different aspect, as small, tan siderite rhombs cover much of it. More cassiterites, four apatites to 2.7 cm, and broken and bruised quartz points are noted. The interior of the front is in good shape, with two broken apatite noted. The periphery wear on the right side is a modest detraction. This remains a large, highly representative, two-sided combination of the species and famed locale. The apatites have straw-yellow fluorescence. Classic combination material.
