Item Description
This rich and showy, old cassiterite and quartz specimen, loaded with extremely lustrous, black crystals, probably dates back to the hey-day of tin mining in Cornwall, the 1800s. The large, pyramidal crystal is 1.0 cm long. The quartz points add character and the hefty matrix is layered cassiterite and quartz. Very rich ore. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. valued $500-plus
